Naturipe Pickled Blueberries

IDEAL FOR: Charcuterie Snack

A unique sweet and savory preserve that pairs beautifully with cheese boards, salads, or roasted meats.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups fresh Naturipe Blueberries
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 strip lemon peel
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary

DIRECTIONS

  1.  Simmer the Brine: Combine vinegar, water, sugar, honey, salt, and spices in a small saucepan. Simmer until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
  2. Jar the Berries: Place fresh blueberries into a clean glass jar and pour the warm liquid over them.
  3. Cool and Cure: Allow to cool to room temperature, then seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
