IDEAL FOR: Dessert

This easy, crowd-pleasing dessert layers a soft sugar cookie crust with creamy filling and fresh berries — arranged to resemble the American flag. Perfect for July 4th or any red-white-and-blue celebration!

INGREDIENTS

  • Crust
  • 1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough (or your favorite homemade recipe)
  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp flour, for rolling out dough
  • Filling
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping (or whipped cream)
  • Toppings
  • ¾ cup Naturipe Blueberries
  • 1½ cups Naturipe Strawberries, sliced
  • Optional: lemon zest or honey drizzle

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare crust: Press or roll the sugar cookie dough into a rectangle on a greased baking sheet or parchment-lined pan (approx. 9×13 inches). Bake 12–14 minutes or until golden. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the filling: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Fold in whipped topping until creamy and spreadable.
  4. Assemble the flag:
    • Spread the filling evenly over the cooled crust.
    • In the top-left corner, create the “stars” field by arranging Naturipe Blueberries in a solid rectangle.
    • For the “stripes,” place rows of sliced Naturipe Strawberries across the rest of the cake. Alternate with white space from the filling for the flag look.
  5. Chill for 30–60 minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy!
