Blood Orange Naturipe Berry Scones

These bakery-style scones are bright, citrusy, and bursting with Naturipe berries. The tangy glaze made with fresh blood orange juice adds a refreshing finish, making them the perfect treat for brunch or afternoon tea.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Zest of 1 blood orange
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 2/3 cup heavy cream (plus more for brushing)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Naturipe Berries (blueberries, raspberries, or mix)
- Optional glaze: juice from 1 blood orange + 1 cup powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and zest.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a small bowl, whisk cream, egg, and vanilla. Pour into dry mix and stir gently.
- Fold in berries. Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat into an 8-inch circle, and cut into 8 wedges.
- Place on baking sheet, brush tops with cream, and bake 18–20 minutes, until golden.
- Drizzle with blood orange glaze once cooled.

- Keep butter very cold for flaky scones.
- Swap in Naturipe blackberries for a bolder flavor.
