Naturipe Blueberry Chocolate Brownies

Rich, fudgy brownies get a burst of juicy sweetness from Naturipe blueberries. A luscious blueberry purée swirled into the batter adds moisture and depth, while whole blueberries create pops of flavor. Perfect for dessert or an indulgent snack!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Naturipe Blueberries (fresh or frozen, divided)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer ½ cup blueberries for 5–7 minutes until soft and jammy. Mash lightly with a fork and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the blueberry puree, remaining whole blueberries, and chocolate chips (if using).
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool before cutting into squares.
