IDEAL FOR: Dessert Snack

Rich, fudgy brownies get a burst of juicy sweetness from Naturipe blueberries. A luscious blueberry purée swirled into the batter adds moisture and depth, while whole blueberries create pops of flavor. Perfect for dessert or an indulgent snack!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Naturipe Blueberries (fresh or frozen, divided)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer ½ cup blueberries for 5–7 minutes until soft and jammy. Mash lightly with a fork and set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in the blueberry puree, remaining whole blueberries, and chocolate chips (if using).
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool before cutting into squares.

Pro Tips:

  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate for a bakery-style finish.
  • Best enjoyed the next day when flavors deepen!
