Currant Blue Cheese Biscuits

Replace your ordinary dinner rolls with these delicious biscuits.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh Naturipe© Farms currants, stemmed and rinsed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup butter, cut into fourths
1 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a food processor bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add butter and process until small crumbs form.
Add blue cheese and process until mixed.
With the motor running, slowly pour in milk until incorporated. Do not over process.
Scoop out dough onto a well-floured surface and pour currants onto top of dough. *Press mixture into roughly a 1-inch slab. Using a small juice glass, press out biscuits and transfer to a cookie sheet lined with parchment.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until nice and golden.

Eat alone or slice for mini sandwiches with smoked turkey.
* If you are pressed for time, you can simply spoon drop dough onto cookie sheet at this point.
