We are currently in week 2 of the #BerryHealthy2014 31-day challenge! Today’s challenge is: Eat your leafy greens to help with insomnia.
Eating well leads to sleeping better and can contribute to a healthy life! A well balanced diet is extremely important because it provide essential vitamins and nutrients the body needs to function. Leafy greens, such as romaine lettuce, kale, spinach and collard greens are a stapes in a healthy diet. Each of these greens are high in folates which can improve sleeping. They also contain nutrients like calcium and magnesium that also contribute to better sleep.
We Challenge you to incorporate those leafy greens into your diet! You will be sleeping better before you know it! Check out the berry recipes below that are sweet and savory salad dishes.
