Are Naturipe berries genetically modified “GMO” ?

No. Genetic modification is the splicing of genes from one organism to another to create a hybrid that does not naturally occur. Naturipe does not genetically modify our plants. Instead, a natural breeding method is used to create superior plant varieties.

Are there different berry varieties?

Yes. There are different varieties of berries. In addition to taste, the type of berry grown is dependent on many factors, including the growing location, the type of soil, weather conditions and time of the year. Naturipe berries are available throughout the year and are grown in many different locations. While our growers strive to deliver the best tasting berries they can, you may notice differences in flavor, color or texture at different times of the year. Our research department is always working on development of more delicious varieties.

Do you add color to your strawberries?

No. Naturipe grows great tasting, healthy, fresh berries and does not add color to any of our berries. The vibrant color of the berries comes directly from Mother Nature.

What does the address on the label signify?

The address on our label indicates the company office locations and does not necessarily signify the location where the product was grown. In addition to the address, many of our labels state the region in which the berries were grown. To view maps of where we grow our berries and to see the areas in which our berries are currently growing, view our interactive Where We Grow map!

What is the expected shelf life of your products?

The shelf life of fresh berries varies by berry type and the age of the berry at time of purchase. Always look for berries that are unblemished and fresh looking, and try to purchase your berries from a refrigerated display. Also, be sure to keep your berries refrigerated at home since maintaining a cool temperature is the key to the longevity of the berry.

When handled and stored properly (at temperatures of 33-34° F), berries can achieve the following shelf lives:

Strawberries: 3 to 7 days after purchase

Blueberries: 10 to 14 days after purchase

Raspberries: 2 to 3 days after purchase

Blackberries: 2 to 3 days after purchase

Cranberries: 4 to 8 weeks after purchase

The shelf life of avocados varies by the current ripeness.

Firm = 4-5 days to ripen at room temperature
Ripe = good for 3-5 days in the refrigerator

Can you ship directly to consumers?

No. Naturipe does not sell or ship directly to consumers. Here at Naturipe, our goal is to provide the best possible berries to your local market every day.

Is your fruit artificially enhanced?

No. Our berries are grown outside in a natural environment, harvested and packed directly into clamshells, and then cooled and shipped within hours to their final destination.

Do you have a food safety program?
